Al Nassr CEO, Guido Fienga, has confirmed that Cristiano Ronaldo will stay with the club next season despite a disappointing end to the 2023-24 campaign.
Al Nassr finished second in the league, trailing 14 points behind their local rivals, Al Hilal. They also suffered a defeat in the King’s Cup final to Al Hilal, losing in a penalty shoot-out on Friday.
This left Ronaldo and his teammates without any trophies for the season.
However, Ronaldo had a successful year individually, setting a new record for the most goals scored in a Saudi Pro League season with his two goals against Al-Ittihad in the final league match.
In an interview with Sada Al-Mala’eib after the Saudi King’s Cup final, Fienga confirmed that the Portuguese captain will continue with Al Nassr, noting that Ronaldo’s “blood has become yellow,” a reference to the team’s primary color.
