UCL: Barcelona make Champions League history in 3-1 win over Napoli


Barcelona achieved a historic milestone in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday by defeating Napoli 3-1 in the round of 16 second leg match in Spain.

According to OptaJose, Barcelona became the first team ever in Champions League history to field two players aged 17 or younger in a knockout stage game. These players were Lamine Yamal (16 years and 243 days old) and Pau Cubarsí (17 years and 50 days old).

Meanwhile, goals from Fermin Lopez, Joao Cancelo, and Robert Lewandowski secured the victory for the La Liga giant over Napoli. Amir Rrahmani managed to score for the Serie A side against Xavi’s team.
