Umuakali-elu Community Leader Charges Youth Executives To Carry Elders Along On Developmental Projects

The Chairman of the Umuakali-elu Naze Development Union (UNDU) Ugwunna Julius Ihebom has charged the newly inaugurated executive members of the Umuakali-elu Youth Association (UYA) to ensure that they get clearance from the elders while embarking on developmental projects in the community.

The call was made in a speech delivered on behalf of the chairman of the Umuakali-elu Community by Rev. Chris Onyeneke during the inauguration and swearing-in of the new executive on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at the Ukwu Obu in Ihebom’s compound, Umuakali-elu Naze.

“I urge the soon to be inaugurated Youth Executive members to please get clearance from the Elders in the area of entering into any developmental activities within the village” he urged.

He further assured them that they shall have the rights and be responsible for appointment of individuals for collection of developmental levies from companies or residents within the community, and such persons has to be approved by the Elders of the village.

The Community leader also charged the Youths to be law abiding citizens of Naze Community and Nigeria as a whole and called on all stakeholders to support the Youth executive in their efforts to develop and uplift the standard of the community.

He also mentioned that the executive under the leadership of Mr. Prince Onyeneke has in the past two years before his re-election for a second-term embarked on several meaningful projects which has helped the community.
