Widows from Communities in Mbieri, Mbaise and Mbano Local Government in Imo State Nigeria are set to smile home this Easter as relief packages meant to aid their celebration of the 2022 Easter will get to them courtesy of the Chinyere-Florence Emmanuel Foundation (CFE).
The initiative which is fully funded by the Executive Director of CFE foundation Lady Chinyere Nnamezie is aimed at ensuring that widows from the aforementioned communities are not left out during the Easter celebration.
The event will kick-start on Easter Monday April 18 at Ezinihitte school compound Mbaise and widows will be given relief materials. On the 19th of April which is Easter Monday, widows in Ohohia village in Mbieri town will also get their share while the programme ends on the 20th of April at the Obi of Umudimokoro Umualumaka in Ehime Mbano LGA of Imo State.
According to the Executive Director of CFE Foundation, the initiative is in loving memory of her beloved sister Ndidi Florence Nnamezie who passed on some years back.
Beneficiaries shall get bags of rice, condiments, as well as other necessary materials which will make these widows not be left out during the season.
Prior to this scheduled Easter celebration, CFE Foundation have supported the lives of several women in Imo State, ranging from provision of self-employment equipment such as sewing machines, to payment of training for some others in their various fields of endeavours.
CFE Foundation is a Non-governmental organization, which aims at providing adequate support for women , organizing training programmes, that will make positive impacts in their lives provided beneficiaries are in need of such.
