World Military Wrestling: Female Nigerian Army personnel wins Gold Medal [VIDEO]

Corporal Reuben Hannah, a member of the Nigeria Army, representing the Armed Forces of Nigeria, secured a Gold Medal in the women’s 76kg category at the ongoing 36th World Military Wrestling Championship in Azerbaijan. The Army Headquarters shared this achievement through an official post on its designated platform on Saturday.

In the post, Corporal Hannah expressed her gratitude, acknowledging the support of the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja, and other service chiefs for facilitating the participation of Nigerian Military wrestlers in the championship. She commended the excellent preparations for the tournament, emphasizing that the necessary logistics were provided to ensure their success.

It is noteworthy that Corporal Hannah had previously earned a silver medal in the women’s 76kg event at both the 2022 and 2023 African Wrestling Championships.
