Yahaya Bello’s co-defendant, Umar Oricha gets N300M bail with two sureties

The Federal Capital Territory High Court, presided over by Justice Maryann Anenih, has admitted Umar Shoaib Oricha to bail in the sum of N300 million. Oricha is a co-defendant with former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello in the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s (EFCC) money laundering case.

To meet the bail conditions, the second defendant must produce two sureties with properties located in the Maitama District of Abuja, falling under the court’s jurisdiction.

Justice Anenih also directed that Umar shall not travel abroad without prior permission from the court and will remain in Kuje Correctional Centre until all bail conditions are satisfied.
