Former Arsenal player Emmanuel Petit has expressed his doubts to Al Nassr forward Cristiano Ronaldo, stating that he believes Ronaldo will not achieve 1,000 career goals, even if he continues playing in Saudi Arabia until the age of 42.
At 39 years old, Ronaldo has accumulated 907 professional goals.
As he nears the end of his career, Petit commented to Jeffbet (via GOAL):
“Cristiano Ronaldo won’t hit 1,000 goals, even if he plays in Saudi Arabia until he’s 42.
Averaging 30-40 goals per season at that age will be extremely difficult, and he will only continue to decline. Honestly, I don’t see him getting close to that number.”
