UBA Sponsors Lagos International Trade Fair, Sixth Consecutive Year

United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc has announced its sponsorship of the upcoming Lagos International Trade Fair (LITF), continuing its role as the official financial partner for the sixth year in a row. The 38th edition of the fair, organized by the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), is scheduled for November at Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos.

At a press briefing at the Commerce House in Lagos on Wednesday, LCCI Vice President Akinbo Akin Olugbade commended UBA for its steadfast support of the trade fair and its commitment to supporting SMEs across Africa. He stated, “We extend our sincere gratitude to UBA for its unwavering partnership and valuable contributions to the success of this event.”

Olugbade discussed the exceptional opportunities available this year for SMEs, business owners, and advertisers, including enhanced networking options and international trade promotion.

Babatunde Ajayi, UBA’s Head of SME Banking, emphasized the bank’s dedication to supporting African enterprises and announced a robust $6 billion loan facility focused on SME growth. “Our six-year collaboration with LCCI has proven immensely successful, as our goals align seamlessly,” Ajayi noted. He also shared that UBA will provide extensive market access and facilitate smooth transactions through its comprehensive retail and digital platforms during the fair.

Moreover, Ajayi highlighted that UBA’s support will include more than just banking services, offering opportunities for direct engagement, payment collection, repatriation services for African exhibitors, and advanced digital banking tools for streamlined transactions.
