Reports indicate that Justice Oyewole Adeyeye, the Chief Judge of Ekiti State, has passed away.
It is worth noting that just under a year ago, part of the Ekiti State High Court building collapsed on the Chief Judge while he was in his office. After being discharged from the hospital, Justice Adeyeye has reportedly been facing ongoing health challenges.
Sources close to the situation have told DAILY POST that the news of his death is being kept private for now, pending an official statement.
The Federation of International Female Lawyers (FIDA) has offered its condolences to the Chief Judge’s family. Their message reads: “With heavy hearts and complete submission to the will of God, FIDA Ekiti expresses deep sympathy to the family of Hon. Justice Oyewole Adeyeye, Chief Judge of Ekiti State, on his passing. May his soul rest in peace. We pray for comfort and strength for his family, the Judiciary, and the people of Ekiti State as they endure this irreplaceable loss. Farewell, distinguished one.”
