AFCON 2025Q: Three more players storm Super Eagles Abidjan camp

Three additional players—Kelechi Iheanacho, Maduka Okoye, and Wilfred Ndidi—have joined the Super Eagles training camp in Abidjan, bringing the total number of players in camp to 11.

On Monday, eight players had initially reported for duty as the team prepares in Abidjan for their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Benin Republic’s Cheetahs.

Thirteen more players are still expected to join the camp. The Super Eagles and the Cheetahs will face off on Thursday at 8 p.m. (Nigeria time) at the Felix Houphouet-Boigny Stadium, which serves as Benin’s adopted home ground for the match.
