Tinubu appoints three board members for Code of Conduct Bureau

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has nominated three individuals to fill vacant positions on the board of the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB).

The announcement, made through a formal letter addressed to the Senate President, was disclosed by Tinubu’s media aide, Bayo Onanuga.

The nominees are Alhaji Fatai Ibikunle from Oyo State, Justice Ibrahim Buba, a retired Federal High Court judge, and Kennedy Ikpeme from Cross River State.

Established in 1979, the Code of Conduct Bureau is tasked with promoting integrity in public service and ensuring adherence to ethical standards. The Bureau operates with a 10-member board.

On October 23, 2024, President Tinubu swore in Dr. Abdullahi Usman Bello as the board’s chairman.

Other current members include Barr. Muritala Aliyu Kankia, Hon. E.J. Agbomayinma, Barr. Ben Umeano, Prof. Juwayriyya Badamasiuy, Mr. Bulus I. Zephaniah, and Hon. Abdulsalam Taofiq Olawale.
