Less than 3 per cent of Nigerians are insured – Cubecover Survey

A recent survey by Cubecover revealed that less than 3% of Nigerians currently have active insurance plans.

The company shared this finding during an event aimed at enhancing access to insurance services across Nigeria.

Deji Macaulay, Chief Executive Officer of Cubecover, expressed the organization’s commitment to bridging the gap in insurance accessibility in the country.

“Insurance should be available to everyone, not just a select few,” Macaulay emphasized. “Our platform is designed to simplify the process, making insurance affordable, user-friendly, and accessible to Nigerians in need of coverage.”

Chief Technical Officer Sam Ishie highlighted the survey findings, emphasizing the low insurance coverage in Nigeria.

“This data underscores the need for our efforts,” Ishie said. “Cubecover is driving strategic partnerships with service providers, network operators, and financial institutions to improve insurance penetration and make it more inclusive.”
