2027: Go and rest, no vacancy in Aso Rock – Joe Igbokwe tells Atiku, Obi, others

Joe Igbokwe, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has called on individuals with presidential ambitions for 2027 to abandon their aspirations.

In a statement via his official Facebook account, Igbokwe declared that President Bola Tinubu would continue in office beyond 2027, leaving no opportunity for new contenders to occupy Aso Rock.

He stated, “For those scheming and dreaming about 2027, let me tell you to rest. Aso Rock is not vacant until PBAT completes the task of clearing the monumental issues that have built up over the years. Nigeria is on the path to being rebuilt.”

His comments follow speculations about a potential alliance between Atiku Abubakar, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, and Peter Obi of the Labour Party to unseat Tinubu in the next election cycle.
