Chelsea Targeting Bayer Leverkusen Striker Victor Boniface for Summer Move

Chelsea are reportedly making a strong push to sign Bayer Leverkusen’s Nigerian striker, Victor Boniface, ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Blues are in search of an additional forward to provide competition for Nicolas Jackson and Marc Guiu, both of whom have struggled with injuries. This has forced manager Enzo Maresca to deploy Pedro Neto as a false nine in recent games.

According to CaughtOffside (via TEAMtalk), Chelsea are making every effort to secure Boniface’s signature, despite increasing competition from rival clubs.

The 24-year-old is also on the radar of Manchester United and Arsenal, while Newcastle United have shortlisted him as a potential replacement if Alexander Isak departs.

Chelsea are aware of the growing interest and are reportedly planning discussions with both Boniface and Leverkusen in the near future. The striker is expected to command a transfer fee of around €70 million.

Boniface has been impressive this season, scoring seven goals in 14 Bundesliga appearances and 10 goals in 20 matches across all competitions for the newly crowned German champions.

Additionally, he has been included in coach Eric Chelle’s 39-man provisional squad for Nigeria’s 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.
