Hajj: Another Kebbi pilgrim dies in Makkah

The Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Board has reported the passing of another pilgrim from the state in Makkah, Saudi Arabia.

This information was revealed in a statement by the Kebbi Hajj 2024 Media Team on Sunday.

Alhaji Faruku Aliyu-Enabo, the Executive Chairman of the board, identified the deceased as Abubakar Abdullahi from Gulma in the Argungu Local Government Area.

Aliyu-Enabo stated that Abdullahi passed away after a brief illness.

The board’s chairman mentioned that Governor Nasir Idris expressed his condolences and offered prayers for the deceased, asking Allah to forgive his sins and grant him Jannatul Firdaus.

“The governor also encouraged the deceased’s immediate family, friends, and Kebbi pilgrims to remain strong and accept the will of God Almighty with faith,” said Aliyu-Enabo.

He added that the deceased was buried according to Islamic rites after his funeral prayer at Masjid Al-Ihram (Ka’aba) on Friday.

This event follows the death of another Kebbi pilgrim, Tawalkatu Busare Alako from the Jega Local Government Area, who died on May 27, 2024, after a brief illness.

Additionally, on May 28, 2024, a Lagos pilgrim, Oloshogbo Idris, passed away in Makkah shortly after completing the circumambulation of the Holy Kaaba.
