Prepare for Putin’s strike – Security advisers warn Britain residents

Security advisers in the UK have issued a warning to families amid growing fears that Russia may be plotting to sabotage vital energy pipelines.

They have recommended that residents prepare a 72-hour emergency “survival kit.”

The warning comes as the UK’s dependence on imported gas and electricity continues to grow, with nearly 40% of its gas now sourced from Norway. Much of this supply is delivered via the 700-mile-long Langeled pipeline.

Alarm bells rang after the Russian spy ship Yantar was reportedly spotted mapping critical underwater infrastructure in the North Sea in recent months, raising concerns of a potential sabotage mission.

With the UK narrowly avoiding power outages last winter, security experts are urging British households to take precautions similar to those advised in the EU, where citizens are encouraged to prepare a three-day emergency kit.

Suggested items include drinking water, long-life food, a flashlight, essential medications, identification documents, a battery-powered radio, and a multi-purpose tool such as a Swiss Army knife.
