Former Governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido, suggested that Bola Tinubu became President of Nigeria by chance.
He also criticized Tinubu’s administration, claiming it is mishandling governance.
During an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today program on Monday, Lamido asserted that Tinubu did not build Lagos as some have claimed.
Referring to the ports, airport, and bridges in Lagos, Lamido emphasized that these infrastructures were developed with Nigerian funds.
“I know Tinubu very well, both as an individual and as the Governor of Lagos. He is now leading the country. He didn’t build Lagos; it was developed with Nigerian money, including the port, airport, and bridges.
“Tinubu never built Lagos. The city was constructed by the Nigerian government, from which he benefited. When people say Tinubu built Lagos, it’s not true. He is now fortunate to be the president, but his government is doing everything wrong,” Lamido stated.
