We must unite to end drug abuse – Ex-President Buhari

Former President Muhammadu Buhari has emphasized the necessity for concerted efforts from concerned citizens to eradicate the problem of drug abuse in Katsina State. Speaking at a dialogue organized by the Katsina Consultative Forum, a group of concerned elders in Katsina, the event focused on the theme, ‘Tackling the menace of drug abuse among youths in Katsina State.’

Buhari expressed deep concern about the significant issue of drug abuse among the youth and women in the state, emphasizing the urgency for a proactive approach to address the problem effectively. He stressed that the well-being of the youth is paramount, as they are crucial assets for the nation’s future. Buhari urged everyone to unite and take decisive action against drug abuse in Katsina State, emphasizing the need to confront the issue collectively with determination to overcome the challenges.

The former president highlighted the immense potential of the youth, describing them as the future administrators of the state. He acknowledged that their potential could be hindered by drug abuse, and he encouraged them to believe in themselves, their abilities, and their future. Buhari reassured the youth that despite the numerous challenges they face, collective efforts would be made to provide the necessary support and opportunities for their well-being.
